4.375" on Center.  The slots are typically not exactly 90º and inconsistent on slot widths, allowing for difficult axle insertion.  Under pressure and force, the axle forms a groove into the slot and is very difficult to adjust alignment if not inserted at 90º

4.375" on Center. Drilled to 90º making axle insertion more accurate and true.
